Every wine enthusiast (connoisseur, viticulturist, sommelier or the common enthusiast) can indulge himself/herself here in the Languedoc-Roussillon, one of the oldest wine regions of France. The vineyards of the Corbière, Minervois, Cabardès and Malepère meet at the city of Carcassonne and the first sparkling wine of the world, the Blanquette de Limoux, saw the light of day here.
We are happy to make you acquainted with fabulous wines from the area. That is why the surprising but relatively unknown wines from the Malepère, the ‘Benjamin’ of the Languedoc, occupy a prominent place on our wine list.
Our soft, red Merlot and Marie-Anne, the full, round Clémence and the fruity rosé originate from Chateau des Cointes, a beautiful domaine in our own town Roullens, whose wines have won multiple medals and are recommended in the Guide Hachette.
Additionally, we are enthusiastic about the award-winning white Limoux wines Occitania, Dédicace and Odyssée, which originate from the nearby Chateau Rives Blanques, just like the sublime, late harvest Lagremas d’Aur and our sparkling Blanquette de Limoux, recommended in the best wine guides and chosen as best wines of the year in La Revue du Vin de France.
The other wines on our menu vary, based on the wine tastings with test panels organized by us and valuable tips of (regular) customers. In the spring and autumn, we organize ‘wine & culinary weeks,’ which also include tastings. Keep an eye on our arrangements if you are interested.
